Shopping Tips:

1.Tourism Discount: To achieve the ultimate positive experience while shopping in Panama tourists qualify for a 5% discount. Try presenting your passport and say, 'Hay un descuento por favor? Soy turista.'
2.Dorians in the Alrbook mall always asks for my passport, so that they can approve my 5% discount. I find brands from Wal-Mart and Target at incredible savings.  Mencan build an entire business professional wardrobe in under 2 hours for less than $200.
3.Panama Food Box Delivery: Chris Burrillo delivers fruits and vegetables to your door. He's fully bi-lingual and a pleasant smart contact.

4.Check it Before You Buy It: Returning stuff in Panama is tough, particularly if you lose your patience due to a lack of communication skills. It is harder to return things because the store owners buy the goods upfront, unlike in your home country where the item is usually on consignment to the store or vendor.  Standard return policies are 3 days and 14 days.  Be extra careful with electronics if you want to have a good experience.
5.Plus Sizes:  Since many clothes come from the orient, in small sizes, and the US has expanded their size charts- you have likely had some unpleasant wake-up calls in the dressing room. My happy place is at Moda Saks in El Dorado or Los Pueblos and also at Dorians.
6.Bras: These three locations sometimes carry the brand by Queen Latifah. Since you cannot try on underwear in Panama, I tell you that these $3 bras, found at the above locations, are quality silhouette enhancers.

Happy Shopping
